《實用英語口語》是為了滿足高職高專英語教學改革的需求,根據(jù)教育部頒發(fā)的《高職高專教育英語課程教學基本要求》(以下簡稱《基本要求》)編寫而成。本教材供高職高專公共英語教學使用,同時也適用于意欲培養(yǎng)和提高英語口語交際能力的具有一定英語基礎(chǔ)的自學者、專業(yè)技術(shù)人員、出國人員以及涉外工作者?! ”緯诰帉戇^程中,嚴格遵守《基本要求》中的“實用為主,夠用為度”原則,教學內(nèi)容新穎,突出學生實訓演練和實際應(yīng)用?! 秾嵱糜⒄Z口語》全書分為兩個部分,每個部分十六個教學單元,全書原則上供一學年使用,也可根據(jù)各高職院校教學安排靈活使用。每個單元由下面八個部分組成。 1.Lead-in通過一些有針對性和學生感興趣的問題,導入單元主題,本書在導入環(huán)節(jié)的特色是為學生列舉了一些慣用語和常用句型以引導學生正確、靈活地使用語言,同時培養(yǎng)他們的發(fā)散思維。 2.Warm-UPActivities包括語音和閱讀兩部分,語音部分旨在強化學生的基本語音和語調(diào)知識,并通過列舉和聽讀一些相近的音素而更正學生易犯的讀音、重音和語調(diào)錯誤,培養(yǎng)學生的語感。閱讀部分精選了一些與本單元內(nèi)容相關(guān)的短文或小故事,旨在使學生通過聽讀領(lǐng)略讀的技巧,同時也可作為背誦資料?! ?.Dialogues由七個圍繞本單元主題的情景對話按照循序漸進或?qū)υ挼牟煌采w面(題材)排列組成,旨在為學生提供廣泛的語言材料,并供教師有選擇地使用。

Dialogue 2 Dad: Do you often recall our wedding? Mom: Yeah, and our wedding photos always remind me of the exciting moment. Dad: Sure. We looked so young at that time, right? Morn: Well, but the pictures were black and white, and we seemed so outdated. Dad: Come on, honey, there were our precious memories, although they can develop perfectphotos now. Morn: The technology really gives the wedding pictures a new age. Dad: I have an idea. Why dont we have some more photos taken? Mom: Can we? But there is no photographer. Dad: Thats not a problem. I heard there is a popular photo gallery on this beach. Mom: Really? Lets get the children together. Dialogue 3 A: Did you go back to your hometown to have a family reunion during the spring festivalvacation? B: Yes, I did. My parents were only too glad to see me back home again. A: What were you doing while you were together? B: Well, first of all, I told them about what college life was like, how I felt about my studies,and how well I actually did in my lessons. And I was so glad to find that both my parents weregood listeners. A: What else did you do then? B: Then it was their turn to tell me all about the changes that had taken place in my familyand the town during the months of my absence. Thus we talked and talked without knowing thatmy vacation would soon be over.
