英語(yǔ)一課一練

前言

　　《高中英語(yǔ)一課一練》作為新教材高中英語(yǔ)課本的配套練習(xí)用書(shū)，對(duì)鞏固知識(shí)、提高能力方面起了很好的輔助作用。經(jīng)過(guò)實(shí)踐使用后，我們聽(tīng)取了有關(guān)方面的意見(jiàn)，對(duì)各冊(cè)進(jìn)行了全面修訂，目的是更好地為英語(yǔ)教學(xué)服務(wù)。修訂后的《英語(yǔ)一課一練》保留了原書(shū)的設(shè)計(jì)框架，但較大幅度增加了練習(xí)量。具體安排是：擴(kuò)大聽(tīng)力部分的容量，刪去了單詞聽(tīng)力辨音，增加了聽(tīng)對(duì)話、聽(tīng)短文兩項(xiàng)內(nèi)容；語(yǔ)法和詞匯方面各個(gè)項(xiàng)目都增加了練習(xí)；翻譯、補(bǔ)全對(duì)話、完形填空和閱讀理解等綜合運(yùn)用方面的項(xiàng)目也都分別調(diào)整或適度增加了內(nèi)容。希望修訂版能更好地幫助同學(xué)們邊學(xué)邊練，扎實(shí)地提高英語(yǔ)實(shí)用能力，在掌握英語(yǔ)方面取得良好的成績(jī)。

　　I don t often lose things and I m especially careful with money， .so I was quite sur-prised when I reached for my wallet and it wasnt there. At first， I thought it was pos-sible that I could have left it at home. Then I remembered taking it out to pay for thetaxi， so I knew I had it with me just before I walked into the restaurant. I wondered ifit was possible that it could have slipped out of my pocket while I was eating dinner.Thinking that possibility， I turned and walked back to the table where I had been sit-ting. Unfortunately， there were several people sitting at the table at the time， so Icalled a waiter and explained to him that my wallet had fallen out of my pocket while Iwas sitting at that table a few minutes earlier. I had the waiter go over to the table tosee if my wallet was on the floor. While the waiter was looking for it， the manager ofthe restaurant came up to me and asked me if anything was wrong. I didn t want to geta lot of people involved in the problem， but I knew I had to get the wallet back. I toldthe manager what had happened. He had me describe the wallet to him and then he in-sisted that I report the missing wallet to the police.　I told him that I didn t particular-ly want to get the police involved in it; besides，　I was in a hurry because I had an ap-pointment with my doctor in just a few minutes. I explained to him that my biggestworry at the moment was how I was going to pay the check. He told me not to worryabout that. He had me write down my name and address， and he said he would send mea bill.　　……
