大學(xué)物理雙語(yǔ)教學(xué)解題指導(dǎo)書(shū)

前言

2001年教育部在《關(guān)于加強(qiáng)高等學(xué)校本科教學(xué)工作提高教學(xué)質(zhì)量的若干意見(jiàn)》中明確要求，高等學(xué)校的“本科教學(xué)要?jiǎng)?chuàng)造條件，引進(jìn)原版外語(yǔ)教材，使用英語(yǔ)等外語(yǔ)進(jìn)行公共課和專(zhuān)業(yè)課教學(xué)”。近年來(lái)，我國(guó)許多高校都開(kāi)始試行公共課程與專(zhuān)業(yè)課程的雙語(yǔ)教學(xué)。物理學(xué)是一門(mén)自然科學(xué)，研究自然界物質(zhì)的運(yùn)動(dòng)形式和運(yùn)動(dòng)規(guī)律，有一套完整的研究認(rèn)識(shí)規(guī)律，與使用的語(yǔ)言無(wú)關(guān)，語(yǔ)言只是研究物理和描述自然的工具，不能替代科學(xué)的思維。但是由于社會(huì)和歷史的原因，近幾百年來(lái)科學(xué)技術(shù)的成果大多是用英語(yǔ)發(fā)表的。不論是科學(xué)技術(shù)專(zhuān)業(yè)雜志，還是各種國(guó)際學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議，大都將英語(yǔ)作為交流語(yǔ)言。從這個(gè)意義上可以說(shuō)“現(xiàn)代科學(xué)技術(shù)的研究主要是用英語(yǔ)思考”，而現(xiàn)代科學(xué)技術(shù)大多是物理學(xué)的研究成果或者相關(guān)分支學(xué)科，因此《大學(xué)物理》課程采用雙語(yǔ)教學(xué)十分重要，是有益的教學(xué)形式。北京郵電大學(xué)早在2005年就開(kāi)始了“大學(xué)物理”雙語(yǔ)課的嘗試，其背景是2004年北京郵電大學(xué)和英國(guó)倫敦大學(xué)瑪麗女王學(xué)院聯(lián)合創(chuàng)立學(xué)士學(xué)位聯(lián)合培養(yǎng)項(xiàng)目，建立了國(guó)際學(xué)院，全部課程均用雙語(yǔ)或者全英語(yǔ)教學(xué)。成績(jī)合格的畢業(yè)生將分別獲得北京郵電大學(xué)與英國(guó)倫敦大學(xué)瑪麗女王學(xué)院的雙學(xué)位?！按髮W(xué)物理”雙語(yǔ)課是北京郵電大學(xué)國(guó)際學(xué)院的重要的基礎(chǔ)課，由北京郵電大學(xué)理學(xué)院的資深教師承擔(dān)教學(xué)任務(wù)，幾年來(lái)積累了豐富的雙語(yǔ)教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)。由于中西方的教學(xué)模式和理念均有很大的不同，因此國(guó)內(nèi)外的“大學(xué)物理”課程的廣度和深度不盡相同。為了與國(guó)內(nèi)“大學(xué)物理”課程教學(xué)相適應(yīng)，學(xué)生在掌握物理學(xué)的基本理論的基礎(chǔ)之上，還必須通過(guò)一定題目的訓(xùn)練，從而達(dá)到鞏固和提高的目的。由于英文教材的深度所致，題目的難度與中文教材的題目難度相比有不足，因此有必要編寫(xiě)一整套適合中國(guó)“大學(xué)物理”雙語(yǔ)教學(xué)難度的，涵蓋選擇、填空和計(jì)算題等習(xí)題形式的學(xué)習(xí)指導(dǎo)書(shū)，從而有效地彌補(bǔ)現(xiàn)有教學(xué)的不足，成為學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)“大學(xué)物理”雙語(yǔ)課程中的一個(gè)有效組成部分。

內(nèi)容概要

大學(xué)物理雙語(yǔ)教學(xué)是大學(xué)物理教學(xué)中的一個(gè)新鮮事物，除了需要合適的雙語(yǔ)教材以外，還需要配套的解題指導(dǎo)書(shū)。本書(shū)由北京郵電大學(xué)幾位教師編寫(xiě)，他們?cè)诒本┼]電大學(xué)與英國(guó)倫敦大學(xué)瑪麗女王學(xué)院合作培養(yǎng)本科生項(xiàng)目——北京郵電大學(xué)國(guó)際學(xué)院執(zhí)教大學(xué)物理雙語(yǔ)課多年，具有豐富的教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)。    國(guó)內(nèi)外的大學(xué)物理教學(xué)的廣度和深度不盡相同，國(guó)外大學(xué)物理英文教材書(shū)后習(xí)題的難度與國(guó)內(nèi)大學(xué)物理教程題目難度相比有不足。本書(shū)搜集了有一定難度的例題進(jìn)行詳細(xì)解答，并配以知識(shí)點(diǎn)復(fù)習(xí)(Review of the Contents)，解題方法(Problem Solving Strategies)，以及每章一定量的選擇、填空、問(wèn)答、計(jì)算題，構(gòu)成一本較完備的解題指導(dǎo)書(shū)。本書(shū)有效地彌補(bǔ)了現(xiàn)有大學(xué)物理雙語(yǔ)教學(xué)的不足，成為大學(xué)物理雙語(yǔ)課程的一個(gè)有效組成部分。

插圖：In this chapter, we discuss the cause of motion, a field of study called dy-namics. The principles of dynamics can he wrapped up in a neat package of threestatements called Newton's laws of motion. Three theorems derived from New-ton's laws and laws of conservation are also introduced.1. Newton' s first lawContent:When no force acts on a body, or when the vector sum of all forcesacting on it （the net force） is zero, the body is in equilibrium. If the body is ini-tially at rest, it remains at rest; if it is initially in motion, it continues to movewith constant velocity. From Newton's first law, we can get the following conclusions:（1） An object has a tendency to maintain its original state of motion in theabsence of a force. This tendency is called inertia. The inertial property of a bodyis characterized by its mass.（2） The force is the only reason which makes the states of body change. Itindicates the concept of force: An interaction——can cause an acceleration of abody.
