雅思閱讀寫作高分策略與測(cè)練

前言

　　我初次走上雅思培訓(xùn)講臺(tái)是在2000年初，那時(shí)我剛剛結(jié)束了在新西蘭奧塔哥大學(xué)的碩士課程。三年后，我又移民去了新西蘭，并在當(dāng)?shù)氐恼Z言培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu)講授雅思課程。2007年以來，我曾多次應(yīng)邀回國(guó)為中國(guó)考生講授雅思課程。自2009年開始，中國(guó)著名的《英語世界》雜志還增設(shè)了由我來主持的“雅思問答”專欄。近10年來，由我培養(yǎng)出的高分學(xué)生不計(jì)其數(shù)。通過同國(guó)內(nèi)學(xué)生和同行的交流，我發(fā)現(xiàn)中國(guó)的雅思培訓(xùn)存在著一些問題，其中最為突出的就是“重炒作，輕學(xué)術(shù)”，以至于很多學(xué)生感到講課時(shí)聽起來“轟轟烈烈”，但實(shí)際上并不能學(xué)到多少對(duì)考試真正有用的東西。眾所周知，近年來中國(guó)雅思考生的平均分?jǐn)?shù)在世界幾乎位于末位，這足以說明中國(guó)現(xiàn)在的雅思培訓(xùn)并不是非常成功的。在十余年的雅思培訓(xùn)經(jīng)歷中，我始終認(rèn)為只有個(gè)人的努力加上科學(xué)的符合語言規(guī)律的解題技巧才能使考試分?jǐn)?shù)真正有所提高。這也正是我寫作本書的動(dòng)因。　　本書旨在幫助你在最短的時(shí)間內(nèi)提高雅思閱讀與寫作部分的實(shí)考成績(jī)。它包括六套雅思學(xué)術(shù)類閱讀和寫作模擬試題以及兩套普通培訓(xùn)類閱讀和寫作模擬試題。本書閱讀部分主要是根據(jù)最新流行題型編寫而成。寫作部分的例文多數(shù)是由本人近年來的新作和改寫的學(xué)生實(shí)考真題習(xí)作構(gòu)成。這本書既可用作課堂教材，也可用作自學(xué)指南。　　本書具有以下特點(diǎn)：　　1.內(nèi)容新穎風(fēng)格獨(dú)特　　本書不同于普通的雅思參考書，它既詳細(xì)介紹了筆者在多年雅思教學(xué)與研究中提煉出來的成果和科學(xué)的解題方法，又提供了達(dá)到實(shí)考水平的自測(cè)練習(xí)。在本書編寫過程中，筆者參考了國(guó)內(nèi)外最新的雅思考試真題題庫，力求做到在內(nèi)容、形式和深度方面與實(shí)考接軌，并且在有些方面填補(bǔ)了國(guó)內(nèi)雅思研究的空白?！　?.側(cè)重實(shí)用便于自學(xué)　　本書在講解過程中力求深淺結(jié)合，側(cè)重實(shí)用，便于自學(xué)。在答案部分也做了較為詳細(xì)的講解?！　∥蚁Ｍㄟ^掌握解題技巧和實(shí)練的考驗(yàn)，你能更好地發(fā)現(xiàn)自己需要改進(jìn)的地方，并在將來的考試中取得優(yōu)異成績(jī)。

作者簡(jiǎn)介

　　王汝濤，教授，著名英語培訓(xùn)專家，現(xiàn)為國(guó)家重點(diǎn)刊物《英語世界》雜志“雅思問答”專欄主持人。1998年獲新西蘭政府全額獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金赴新西蘭奧塔哥大學(xué)留學(xué)，獲國(guó)際研究A級(jí)碩士學(xué)位。歸國(guó)后，曾任南開大學(xué)英語副教授。2003年移居新西蘭.曾先后執(zhí)教于新西蘭語言培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu)，主講雅思培訓(xùn)和英語作為第二語言的相關(guān)課程。2003年至2004年，應(yīng)邀在新西蘭《鏡報(bào)》主持“王老師雅思問答”專欄?！　〗陙恚跸壬啻螒?yīng)邀回國(guó)講授雅思培訓(xùn)課程，在北京新航道學(xué)校任教期間，主講雅思及SAT培訓(xùn)課程。他以深厚的學(xué)術(shù)造詣和多年海內(nèi)外教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)為依托，探索出一套適合中國(guó)學(xué)生的科學(xué)的英語學(xué)習(xí)方法。他倡導(dǎo)“依靠學(xué)術(shù)才能提高分?jǐn)?shù)”的理念，抵制和批評(píng)商業(yè)化的“傳銷式”教學(xué)。王先生憑借其獨(dú)特的雅思教學(xué)法開創(chuàng)了中國(guó)雅思教學(xué)與研究的新時(shí)代。他已成為業(yè)界公認(rèn)的“實(shí)力派”雅思培訓(xùn)權(quán)威。

　　Sex roles: When the early Industrial Revolution took work away from cottage indus-tries and amalgamated it into mass production units， the division of tasks between the sexesbecame necessary as the man was rarely at home. This confined women to the home andkept the men out of doors as breadwinners, usually with quite undesirable effects upon chil-dren who needed regular contact with both parents if a balance development was to be as-sured. Now, with the increasing entry of women into the work force and the rise of automa-tion, this division of work between spouses has become meaningless. It is producing evermore incompetence in respect of child-rearing functions. This means that, more and more,the work of child nurture has to be done by the State, thus creating an enormous drain uponthe public purse through taxation for welfare.　　Feminism: In the 1960s the radical feminist movement threw down the gauntlet to themale and the arguments of such books as Betty Friedans The Feminine Mystique and Ger-maine Greers The Female Eunuch became part of the consciousness of most educatedwomen. The notion of women as being necessarily artful, intriguing, seductive, passive andvulnerable was sharply challenged. This has left the way open for men to recover the gen-tleness and passivity they lost when they become domestic lords and masters. The morewomen assert themselves in society, the more opportunity there is for men to recover theirnurturing role and spend more time in the home.　　Male emotional poverty: It is part of the masculist argument that a vicious circle iscreated by the division of sex roles whereby men are conditioned from childhood to beworkers, builders, strivers, competitors, crushing their capacity for emotional expression andexalting the mind and the intellect over all other functions. This has produced the male ca-reerist rat race in which a man has to be tough to survive and where his physical and psy-chological organism is stressed beyond the point of endurance. This engenders the highest number of stress diseases in the history of male endeavour. As the masculist manifestopoints out:"Masculists encourage men to tune in to their feelings, to stop the pretence of being towers of strength, of being analytical machines, of being cold and logical, and in-stead to admit to their weaknesses, their frailties and their need for emotional support. Thissupport does not have to come exclusively from females whose traditional role has been toprovide emotional succour not only to children but to their husbands and boy friends. "Onemight add that this exclusive confinement of the succouring role to females has producedthe widespread convention of the mother-wife, thus emotionally castrating so many youngmales while ironically urging them to new heights of macho-achievement in sport, in socie-ty and in the market place.
