  今年是恩師郭柏靈院士70壽辰,華南理X-大學(xué)出版社決定出版《郭柏靈論文集》。郭老師的弟子,也就是我的師兄弟,推舉我為文集作序。這使我深感榮幸。我于1985年考入北京應(yīng)用物理與計(jì)算數(shù)學(xué)研究所,師從郭柏靈院士和周毓麟院士。研究生畢業(yè)后我留在研究所工作,繼續(xù)跟隨郭老師學(xué)習(xí)和研究偏微分方程理論。老師嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)闹螌W(xué)作風(fēng)和對(duì)后學(xué)的精心培養(yǎng)與殷切期望,給我留下了深刻的印象,同時(shí)老師在科研上的刻苦精神也一直深深地印在我的腦海中?! 」蠋?936年生于福建省龍巖市新羅區(qū)龍門鎮(zhèn),1953年從福建省龍巖市第一中學(xué)考入復(fù)旦大學(xué)數(shù)學(xué)系,畢業(yè)后留校工作。1963年,郭老師服從祖國(guó)的需要,從復(fù)旦大學(xué)調(diào)入北京應(yīng)用物理與計(jì)算數(shù)學(xué)研究所,從事核武器研制中有關(guān)的數(shù)學(xué)、流體力學(xué)問題及其數(shù)值方法研究和數(shù)值計(jì)算工作。他全力以赴地做好了這項(xiàng)工作,為我國(guó)核武器的發(fā)展做出了積極的貢獻(xiàn)。1978年改革開放以后。他又在非線性發(fā)展方程數(shù)學(xué)理論及其數(shù)值方法領(lǐng)域開展研究工作,現(xiàn)為該所研究員、博士生導(dǎo)師,中國(guó)科學(xué)院院士。迄今他共發(fā)表學(xué)術(shù)論文300余篇、專著9部,1987年獲國(guó)家自然科學(xué)三等獎(jiǎng),1994年和1998年兩度獲得國(guó)防科工委科技進(jìn)步一等獎(jiǎng),為我國(guó)的國(guó)防建設(shè)與人才培養(yǎng)作出了巨大貢獻(xiàn)。  郭老師的研究方向涉及數(shù)學(xué)的多個(gè)領(lǐng)域,其中包括非線性發(fā)展方程的數(shù)學(xué)理論及其數(shù)值解、孤立子理論、無窮維動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)等,其研究工作的主要特點(diǎn)是緊密聯(lián)系數(shù)學(xué)物理中提出的各種重要問題。他對(duì)力學(xué)及物理學(xué)等應(yīng)用學(xué)科中出現(xiàn)的許多重要的非線性發(fā)展方程進(jìn)行了系統(tǒng)深入的研究,其中對(duì)1andau—lifshitz方程和Benjamin On0方程的大初值的整體可解性、解的唯一性、正則性、漸近行為以及爆破現(xiàn)象等建立了系統(tǒng)而深刻的數(shù)學(xué)理論。在無窮維動(dòng)力系統(tǒng)方面,郭老師研究了一批重要的無窮維動(dòng)力系統(tǒng),建立了有關(guān)整體吸引子、慣性流形和近似慣性流形的存在性和分形維數(shù)精細(xì)估計(jì)等理論,提出了一種證明強(qiáng)緊吸引子的新方法,并利用離散化等方法進(jìn)行理論分析和數(shù)值計(jì)算,展示了吸引子的結(jié)構(gòu)和圖像。下面我從這幾個(gè)方面介紹郭老師的一些學(xué)術(shù)成就。
