內(nèi)容概要

　　《秘密花園》是20世紀(jì)最偉大的童話著作之一。這是一部關(guān)于“伴隨著內(nèi)心秘密成長”的童話，講述一個關(guān)于美好心靈和大自然魔法的故事。主人公瑪麗雖然與父母生活在一起，但并未享受過來自父母的親情：土著仆人對她的百依百順，使她變得任性又乖戾。一場霍亂使她一夜之間成了孤兒，她被送到英國的親戚家撫養(yǎng)。在親戚家的一個大莊園里，瑪麗無意中發(fā)現(xiàn)了一個被廢棄了的秘密花園，并情不自禁地愛上了這個花園。她與小伙伴迪肯、柯林一起，在花園里種植各種花草，與狐貍、羊羔、烏鴉、知更鳥等動物成了好朋友。三個小伙伴在陽光下茁壯成長，他們各自改掉了自己的壞毛病，瑪麗長成了漂亮的姑娘，而迪肯和柯林則變成了健壯的小伙子。他們把這一切，都?xì)w功于大自然的魔法。

Seeing him talking to a stranger,the little bushy-tailed animal rose fromits place under the tree and came to him,and the rook,cawing once,flewdown from its branch and settled quietly on his shoulder. "This is the little fox cub," he said,rubbing the little reddish animal'shead."It's named Captain.And this here's Soot.Soot he flew across the moorwith me and Captain he ran same as if the hounds had been after him.Theyboth felt same as I did." Neither of the creatures looked as if he were the least afraid of Mary.When Dickon began to walk about,Soot stayed on his shoulder and Captaintrotted quietly close to his side. "See here!" said Dickon."See how these has pushed up,and these andthese! And Eh! Look at these here!" He threw himself upon his knees and Mary went down beside him.Theyhad come upon a whole clump of crocuses burst into purple and orange andgold.Mary bent her face down and kissed and kissed them. "You never kiss a person in that way," she said when she lifted her head."Flowers are so different." He looked puzzled but smiled. "Eh!" he said,"I've kissed mother many a time that way when I come infrom the moor after a day's roaming and she stood there at the door in the sun,looking so glad and comfortable." They ran from one part of the garden to another and found so manywonders that they were obliged to remind themselves that they must whisperor speak low.He showed her swelling leafbuds on rose branches which hadseemed dead.He showed her ten thousand new green points pushing throughthe mould.They put their eager young noses close to the earth and sniffed itswarmed springtime breathing; they dug and pulled and laughed low withrapture until Mistress Mary's hair was as tumbled as Dickon's and her cheekswere almost as poppy red as his. There was every joy on earth in the secret garden that morning,and inthe midst of them came a delight more delightful than all,because it was morewonderful.Swiftly something flew across the wall and darted through thetrees to a close grown corner,a little flare of red-breasted bird with somethinghaging from its beak.Dickon stood quite still and put his hand on Maryalmost as if they had suddenly found themselves laughing in a church.
