　　Sir Isaac Newton， was an English physicist， was consideredone of the most important scientist of all time. He established themodern study of optics——or the behavior of light——and bttild thefirst reflecting telescope. His mathematical insights led him toinventing the area of mathematics called calculus. Newtonscontributions explained the workings of the large part of thephysically world in mathematical terms， and they suggested thatscience may offer explanations for other phenomena as well.　　Thomas Edison was a famous American scientist. He born in 1847.When he was a child， he likes to find out how things worked. Hewas in school for only three months. He asked to his teacher a lotof strange questions， most of them had nothing to do with his lessons.The teacher thought the boy was not bright and was not worth teach.When he spoke this to Edisons mother， she took her son out of school.As she had been a teacher， she teached him herself. The boy read a lot.Soon he became very interesting in science. At the age of ten， Edisonhad already built a chemistry lab for himself. Ever since then， henever stopped searching of new and better ways to do things.
