英語(yǔ)測(cè)試練習(xí)

前言

　　為了提高本市報(bào)考高等院校的廣大中專、職校、技校學(xué)生（簡(jiǎn)稱“三校生”）的復(fù)習(xí)效率，使高考復(fù)習(xí)工作進(jìn)入健康、有序的軌道，也為了從教學(xué)、復(fù)習(xí)、考試等各個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)更好地體現(xiàn)課程教材和考試評(píng)價(jià)的改革理念，發(fā)揮正確的導(dǎo)向作用，我室組織編寫(xiě)了《上海市高等院校招生“三校生”統(tǒng)一考試復(fù)習(xí)指導(dǎo)叢書(shū)》，分《語(yǔ)文》、《數(shù)學(xué)》、《英語(yǔ)》各兩冊(cè)（《復(fù)習(xí)提要》和《測(cè)試練習(xí)》），用以指導(dǎo)“三校生”考生的復(fù)習(xí)迎考?！　　稖y(cè)試練習(xí)》是《復(fù)習(xí)提要》練習(xí)的補(bǔ)充和拓展?！稖y(cè)試練習(xí)》緊扣《“三校生”報(bào)考高等院?？荚嚧缶V》，內(nèi)容分“單項(xiàng)訓(xùn)練”和“綜合訓(xùn)練”，題型努力與“三校生”高考試題接近?！　∠抻诰帉?xiě)水平，不妥之處，衷心歡迎廣大師生批評(píng)指正。

　　Penguins（企鵝）live together in large and busy colonies（群居）．Every pair has a littlepiece of ground．When a penguin wants to walk through his neighbor’S ground he must askpermission．If he does not，he will have fight．　　Penguins come and go all day．They fight and look after their children．All penguin are goodparents——the Emperor penguins are perhaps the best parents in the world．They walk in from thesea in the middle of the dark Antarctic winter．They choose their wives in the dark．They can onlyhear them——not see them．Then the females lay their eggs and go away for two months．The maleslook after the eggs．They hold them on their feet inside a fold of skin．If the eggs get cold therewill be no chicks．There iS no food．The snow fdls．The wind blows——sometimes at 150kilometers an hour．The penguins do not move．When the females return from the sea they willnot remember their husbands．It does not matter．Only one thing matters——the eggs．Emperorpenguins never fight because、they all want it．They are strange and wonderful birds．
