學術(shù)研究經(jīng)歷
1983年畢業(yè)于北京大學,留校任教,從事心理測評和人才選拔研究工作,承擔中組部和北京市委組織部第三梯隊建設(shè)選拔評估項目,專著《心理測驗》曾獲北京大學青年教師科研二等獎 (1988),為文革后國內(nèi)首批有關(guān)心理測驗的教科書。
1989年1月赴美國密歇根大學作訪問學者,1991年改讀博士學位,從事認知社會心理學研究。畢業(yè)論文《辯證思維的文化差異》獲美國密歇根大學最佳論文獎 (1997)。
1997年至今,任教于美國伯克利加州大學,2003年獲終身教授職位。
2008年回國,任教于清華大學心理學系,為復系后首任系主任。
曾承擔了中國科技部,鐵道部,國家體育總局,教育部,美國國家自然科學基金, 美國國家心理健康基金會, 美國國防部等多項研究課題。 曾任美國心理學會 (APA)科學領(lǐng)導委員會委員及第五屆世界華人心理學家學術(shù)研討會共同主席 (2004). 獲得教育部春暉計劃, 長江學者獎勵,2009年入選中組部海外高級人才引進計劃(“千人計劃”)。
專著《文化心理學》為美國多所大學指定參考書 (2000).
論文《文化與歸因》, 獲美國心理學會年度優(yōu)秀論文獎 (1994).
論文《文化與種族認同》獲美國中西部心理學會研究生論文一等獎 (1996).
論文《文化, 辯證與矛盾思維》, 收入社會心理學經(jīng)典論文 (1999).
論文《文化與人類推理》, 收入《文化心理學手冊》 (2001).
