本套教材共計(jì)3冊(cè),詞匯起點(diǎn)為800詞。第一冊(cè)的重點(diǎn)是基本語(yǔ)法和基本的聽、說(shuō)、讀、譯的技能訓(xùn)練,第二冊(cè)、第三冊(cè)在繼續(xù)加強(qiáng)聽、說(shuō)、讀、譯的技能訓(xùn)練和提高語(yǔ)法應(yīng)用能力的同時(shí),增加套寫應(yīng)用文的訓(xùn)練。教材中的每個(gè)單元均根據(jù)在國(guó)內(nèi)進(jìn)行專題涉外活動(dòng)的實(shí)際需要,設(shè)計(jì)提供了大量的小對(duì)話、常用句型、短文和應(yīng)用文范文,便于學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)、模仿、套用,使學(xué)生真正掌握一些實(shí)用英語(yǔ),最終達(dá)到在涉外活動(dòng)中能舉一反三、較為自如運(yùn)用的目的。本教材在編寫過(guò)程中力求實(shí)用、新穎、簡(jiǎn)明,強(qiáng)調(diào)學(xué)用相結(jié)合,既突出了成人的特點(diǎn)又兼顧到選材的趣味性。編寫者力求能達(dá)到所設(shè)定的目標(biāo)?! ”窘滩挠?000年7月出版以來(lái)已使用了6年之久,因當(dāng)初編寫時(shí)間緊迫,編寫倉(cāng)促,存在一些不足和疏漏之處,經(jīng)研究決定對(duì)本教材進(jìn)行修訂。本教材原則上不做大的調(diào)整,課文、對(duì)話和練習(xí)形式基本不變。但對(duì)一些明顯過(guò)時(shí)、錯(cuò)誤之處進(jìn)行撤換或改正,更加注重語(yǔ)言表達(dá)是否流暢、地道和語(yǔ)言的時(shí)效性;對(duì)練習(xí)中個(gè)別較難的句子適當(dāng)修改降低難度;短語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞練習(xí)中刪去“教學(xué)基本要求”的詞匯表中沒有的短語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞,另外將練習(xí)的形式由原來(lái)的填空改為選擇填空(即在每題后加兩個(gè)短語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞);對(duì)話填空練習(xí)中要求填入的英文部分現(xiàn)用中文標(biāo)出,讓學(xué)生翻譯成英文填入,降低了難度,在修訂時(shí)更加注重功能性的語(yǔ)言結(jié)構(gòu)和習(xí)慣表達(dá)方式,盡量練習(xí)本單元所列出的一些表達(dá)方式。
