　　《英語(yǔ)泛讀新教程教師用書》是《英語(yǔ)泛讀新教程》的配套用書，本書的編寫旨在方便從事英語(yǔ)專業(yè)泛讀教學(xué)的教師們，同時(shí)也供學(xué)生自學(xué)時(shí)參考。本書為每一單元提供了相關(guān)的背景知識(shí)、與課文內(nèi)容相關(guān)的信息以及課后練習(xí)的參考答案，使教師在備課過程中可節(jié)約一定的時(shí)間和精力，并引導(dǎo)學(xué)生更深刻地理解課文。 　　《英語(yǔ)泛讀新教程教師用書》共16個(gè)單元，按《英語(yǔ)泛讀新教程》的課文順序編寫和排列。　　教師在具體的授課過程中可機(jī)動(dòng)選擇、靈活運(yùn)用。教師在布置預(yù)習(xí)任務(wù)時(shí)，可要求學(xué)生利用圖書館和因特網(wǎng)等資源去查閱“背景知識(shí)”和“補(bǔ)充信息”部分的相關(guān)內(nèi)容，以此擴(kuò)大學(xué)生的知識(shí)面和閱讀量，培養(yǎng)良好的讀書習(xí)慣和自學(xué)能力。練習(xí)部分既可由教師在課堂上進(jìn)行口頭檢查，也可指定為學(xué)生閱讀賽程中的筆頭作業(yè)。
