內(nèi)容概要

本書為毒理學(xué)醫(yī)學(xué)類百科全書，主要包含了毒理學(xué)的重要概念，如計量效應(yīng)、作用機制、試驗程序、靶位等，還收集了與毒理學(xué)相關(guān)的歷史、法律、條例、數(shù)據(jù)庫。對毒理學(xué)家會相當有用，同時也適用于醫(yī)學(xué)、法律、科學(xué)工作者查閱。    本書是在原版Encyclopedia of Toxicology(2nd edn)的基礎(chǔ)上對詞條進行的分類重排。編成三卷，分別為精選卷、拓展卷與社科管理卷，更加適合國內(nèi)讀者閱讀。本書涵蓋了毒理學(xué)研究的各個領(lǐng)域，從基礎(chǔ)到前沿，甚至一些尚存爭議的問題也包含其中。     第二版百科全書匯集了392作者提供的1057條目錄，而第一版只包括200名作者提供的749條目錄。實際上，第一版中所有條目的內(nèi)容在第二版中都得到了充實，而某些條目則完全進行了更新。在第二版中新出現(xiàn)的308個條目中，包括鳥類生態(tài)毒理學(xué)、基準劑量、殺蟲劑、計算機毒理學(xué)、致癌效力因素、代謝組學(xué)、化學(xué)事件、蒙地卡羅分析、非致死性化學(xué)武器、無脊椎動物生態(tài)毒理學(xué)、藥物濫用、癌癥化療因子和消費產(chǎn)品等等。許多針對特殊化學(xué)物的條目都是全新的，而書中搜錄的國際組織也得到了很大的擴展。某些條目羅列了許多著名的毒物中毒相關(guān)事件：如美國拉夫運河事件、泰晤士海灘事件、切爾諾貝利事件和三里島事件等。另外許多條目涉及毒理學(xué)知識的社會應(yīng)用，如文化毒理學(xué)、環(huán)境犯罪、著名投毒者和中毒可件、古代化學(xué)生物戰(zhàn)以及美國環(huán)境運動歷史等。因此，新版的毒理學(xué)百科全書在長度、廣度、以及深度上都對毒理學(xué)的許多方面進行了更廣泛和深入的概述。
