“專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)”是一門(mén)為提高大學(xué)高年級(jí)學(xué)生國(guó)際科技交流能力而設(shè)計(jì)的課程。高年級(jí)學(xué)生在學(xué)完大學(xué)普通英語(yǔ)課程,掌握了英語(yǔ)的基本語(yǔ)法并積累了5000個(gè)以上英語(yǔ)單詞后,應(yīng)該較為系統(tǒng)地學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)在科技方面的表達(dá)和溝通技巧。本教材正是為此而編寫(xiě),希望能夠作為大學(xué)三四年級(jí)學(xué)生在加強(qiáng)其科技交流能力方面的一本有用的參考書(shū)。本教材雖然是為草業(yè)科學(xué)以及相關(guān)學(xué)科的科技英語(yǔ)教學(xué)而編寫(xiě)的教科書(shū),但也希望能作為其他相關(guān)學(xué)科師生及科技工作者的一本參考書(shū)?! ”窘滩乃x的課文涵蓋了植物、生態(tài)、草地、牧草、草坪、放牧管理等草業(yè)科學(xué)主要學(xué)科的內(nèi)容。每一課程單元由三部分內(nèi)容組成:第一部分為普通的專(zhuān)業(yè)課文,目的是引導(dǎo)學(xué)生逐漸了解、熟悉草業(yè)科學(xué)專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)的基本內(nèi)容和習(xí)慣表達(dá)等基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)。第二部分為科技英語(yǔ),由淺入深地介紹英文科技書(shū)籍、雜志文章的構(gòu)成特點(diǎn)、層次結(jié)構(gòu)、表達(dá)方式等內(nèi)容。本教材還注重知識(shí)的實(shí)用性,在不同的學(xué)習(xí)階段插入了一些閱讀練習(xí),如使用索引、儀器說(shuō)明、實(shí)驗(yàn)指導(dǎo)等。第三部分為專(zhuān)業(yè)詞匯和構(gòu)詞法,利用配圖等手段,結(jié)合課文內(nèi)容,每一課介紹一個(gè)主題的專(zhuān)業(yè)詞匯。該部分的重點(diǎn)是讓讀者在熟悉簡(jiǎn)單專(zhuān)業(yè)文章寫(xiě)作要求的同時(shí),擴(kuò)大專(zhuān)業(yè)詞匯量和了解專(zhuān)業(yè)英語(yǔ)的一些主要表達(dá)方式。寫(xiě)作方面,除在前部分的課程單元中穿插介紹了一些常見(jiàn)應(yīng)用文寫(xiě)作的文體格式和寫(xiě)作技巧外,最后一課(第15課)詳細(xì)介紹了雜志文章、英文摘要以及墻報(bào)的格式要求、組織結(jié)構(gòu)、寫(xiě)作要點(diǎn)及技巧。
