《研究生英語(yǔ)論文及應(yīng)用文寫(xiě)作》(Academic & Technical Writing for Graduate Students)是為了適應(yīng)研究生英語(yǔ)課程改革的需要而編寫(xiě)的。編寫(xiě)目的是: 通過(guò)課堂教學(xué)和課內(nèi)外練習(xí),切實(shí)幫助研究生提高實(shí)用英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作能力。學(xué)習(xí)外語(yǔ)的人都知道,在聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫(xiě)四項(xiàng)語(yǔ)言技能中,寫(xiě)是最難的,也最見(jiàn)語(yǔ)言功底。母語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作是這樣,外語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作亦然。編寫(xiě)本書(shū)就是想幫助研究生闖過(guò)英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作這道難關(guān)。? 本教材具有以下幾個(gè)特點(diǎn): ? 一、 實(shí)用性。如書(shū)名所示,本教材不是講授一般性英語(yǔ)文體(如記敘文、描寫(xiě)文、說(shuō)明文和議論文)的寫(xiě)作技巧,而是專門(mén)講授英語(yǔ)論文和應(yīng)用文的寫(xiě)作技能。這些技能是每一位研究生在專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)或求學(xué)、留學(xué)、謀職時(shí),必須具備的外語(yǔ)?能力。?? 二、 針對(duì)性。本書(shū)的閱讀對(duì)象是英語(yǔ)非母語(yǔ)的中國(guó)學(xué)生。在編寫(xiě)過(guò)程中,我們始終把學(xué)生的需求放在首位。每一單元在闡述英語(yǔ)論文或應(yīng)用文的寫(xiě)作特點(diǎn)、內(nèi)容和要求時(shí),還提供了許多適用的英語(yǔ)句型和表達(dá)方式,供學(xué)生借鑒?之用。? ? 三、 創(chuàng)新性。目前在國(guó)內(nèi)圖書(shū)市場(chǎng)上,常用英語(yǔ)文體的寫(xiě)作教材較多;而英語(yǔ)論文及應(yīng)用文的寫(xiě)作教材,不但數(shù)量較少,而且內(nèi)容也往往淺顯有余、深度不夠,不適合研究生層次的實(shí)際需求。我們?cè)诜治霰容^了國(guó)內(nèi)外多本寫(xiě)作教材的基礎(chǔ)上,取長(zhǎng)補(bǔ)短,推陳出新,編寫(xiě)了這本反映時(shí)代要求、適合研究生使用的新一代英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作教材。這對(duì)于培養(yǎng)和提高研究生的英語(yǔ)筆頭交際能力,無(wú)疑將起到一定的推動(dòng)作用。? 在此,我們還想強(qiáng)調(diào)一點(diǎn): 英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作能力的培養(yǎng)和提高與其他語(yǔ)言技能、尤其是閱讀技能的提高是密切相關(guān)的。因此,學(xué)生在著重訓(xùn)練寫(xiě)作能力時(shí),還要兼顧其他語(yǔ)言技能的訓(xùn)練。? 本書(shū)由復(fù)旦大學(xué)外文學(xué)院大學(xué)英語(yǔ)教學(xué)部研究生教學(xué)分部承擔(dān)編寫(xiě)任務(wù)。陸效用教授任主編,主要編寫(xiě)人員還有陳淇、范若恩、夏威、何靜。曾道明教授任主審。美籍語(yǔ)言教師Grant Pemberton審閱了全書(shū),Larry Delugose審閱了部分章節(jié)。范若恩除了參與編寫(xiě)外,還做了大量電子版的輸入及編排工作。
