　　英國劍橋大學(xué)考試委員會根據(jù)歐洲語言測試者協(xié)會制定的語言大綱推出了“劍橋英語五級證書考試”。旨在推進歐洲語言測試者協(xié)會20多個成員國之間的英語水平相互認(rèn)證。這一英語等級考試體系同時也被歐洲及英語國家廣泛接受，當(dāng)作出國留學(xué)或進入商務(wù)領(lǐng)域的語言水平認(rèn)證?！　「鶕?jù)運用語言的能力?！皠蛴⒄Z五級證書考試”的等級大致可描述為：入門證書水平（KET），即能夠以英語就日常話題進行簡單交流，是劍橋少兒英語三級之后進入更高階段的第一個等級；初級證書水平（PET），即具備運用英語解決日常事務(wù)的能力；第一證書水平（FCE），即能夠在商務(wù)環(huán)境下或就某些稍具專業(yè)性的話題進行交流，同時此水平的考試也被作為母語為非英語人員申請到歐洲留學(xué)的語言水平認(rèn)證；高級英語證書考試水平（CAE），即能夠從文化層面上把握語言在各種場合下的應(yīng)用，能夠憑借英語進入某專業(yè)技術(shù)領(lǐng)域從事工作或初步具備了以英語作為工作語言進入學(xué)術(shù)領(lǐng)域的能力；英語熟練證書水平（CPE），即劍橋大學(xué)考試委員會認(rèn)為母語為非英語的人士已經(jīng)完全具備了以英語進行深度學(xué)術(shù)研究的能力。　　《劍橋英語等級考試系列》就是在上述背景下引進的原版圖書。本套圖書是根據(jù)最新考試大綱而編寫的考試教程。本套教程最大的亮點在于：　　6套完整試題：　　針對試卷的閱讀與寫作、聽力理解、口語測試等每一部分都有詳細(xì)的分析說明．并提供相應(yīng)的考試技巧（見第一套試題）：　　每套試題后都有長達(dá)兩頁的重點詞匯、語法及寫作知識及考試技巧回顧：　　每套試題的聽力部分之后都有重點摘要及增補聽力訓(xùn)練；　　每種題型都有詳細(xì)的應(yīng)對說明，其中也包括以教師用書中的范文為支撐的完整寫作指導(dǎo)。
