內(nèi)容概要

本教材首先是緊扣最新變化,無論是閱讀篇幅還是題型都嚴(yán)格按最新大學(xué)英語四級(jí)考試要求編寫。其次是選材多樣,內(nèi)容新穎,信息量大,所選短文全部是近兩年英美正式發(fā)表的,以介紹英美社會(huì)、人文、習(xí)俗等背景知識(shí)為主,每單元以一個(gè)話題為中心。本書的編寫宗旨不以應(yīng)試為目的,而在于給學(xué)生提供高質(zhì)量的英語閱讀文章,使學(xué)生在愉快的閱讀中欣賞美文,開闊視野,并在不知不覺中掌握閱讀技能,尤其是快速閱讀技能。最后,本教材適合于課堂和自學(xué)兩種教學(xué)模式。每單元由四篇文章組成,前兩篇為課內(nèi)閱讀,由教師按規(guī)定的時(shí)間安排隨堂練習(xí),有計(jì)劃、有步驟地培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的閱讀技能;后兩篇文章為課后閱讀,可作為課后作業(yè)和學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí)的材料,進(jìn)一步強(qiáng)化和鞏固課內(nèi)所學(xué)的知識(shí)。
